Jack Arenas is a Principal at Founder Collective, based in SoHo. Before joining the firm in 2024, Jack sourced seed investments for Story Ventures and Gilgamesh Ventures, helping the firms close investments in Agentio, Baselayer, Brooklyn Health, Minerva, Nomic, Boom, and more.

Jack is a three-time technical founder. Most recently, he was the Co-founder/CTO of Modern Life, an innovator in the life insurance industry. He also co-founded Prism Data, a Fintech infrastructure company for cash flow underwriting and fraud detection, and previously co-founded Petal, an AI-driven credit card startup acquired by Empower Finance.

Earlier in his career, Jack held engineering and analytical roles at TripleLift, Amazon, and Goldman Sachs. He holds a dual B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from UC Berkeley.

Jack is an amateur triathlete, tennis nut, and new dad who sneaks in the occasional online chess match.
